Domestic Violence Defense Attorney Marke Schnackenberg answers all the questions you may have regarding the charges you may be facing.  If you have questions call now.

When the police get involved in a Domestic Violence call, the police will most certainly will make an arrest.  You may go to jail even if you believe you did not commit an offense.

What the alleged victim wants to have happen will not sway the police. They follow the law and arrest someone. This means that if they come to a domestic violence call someone is very likely going to jail. You will be held or released and ordered to come to your arraignment. In some courts, the arraignment is delayed because the police must send their report to the prosecutor who will decide whether to charge you or not.

Defense Attorney

Lynnwood WA

The police and the prosecutors take domestic violence charges very, very seriously, here in Lynnwood and throughout the entire state of Washington. It is the only non-felony charge that requires someone to be taken to jail. Throughout the state, the police must take a person to jail if they believe that a domestic violence offense has been committed. They often arrest someone at the scene of a domestic dispute. In the past, the police could simply warn the parties to calm down and leave. But not anymore! Once a person is thought to be an aggressor or someone who might have committed any one of the many domestic violence charges, then the police will take that person into custody and off to jail. The person who the police think is the victim will have no say in whether you are charged later in the court. So, a loud argument can go terribly wrong and end up with a good person facing criminal charges.

Experienced Domestic Violence Defense Attorney

I promise to provide you with the strongest defense possible. I have proven to my clients every day that my focus on these sorts of charges pays off for them. Many times I have been able to have charges dropped or reduced and have been able to reunite families. And, when I do so, I feel gratified because as a former prosecutor I know what is like to charge someone for this and to cause them to be separated from their family.

Since 1995, I have worked hard at focusing on this area of the law. I take great satisfaction in helping to put families back together and to helping you get back to normal as quickly as possible.

This is why good persons, just like you, have trusted me throughout the years to take their case and have continued to refer me to help others they know.
